Meet The Founder
Will Mackin is the founder of GO AUTO, a premier mobile mechanic service launched in September 2025 in Birmingham, AL. A Birmingham native, Will brings extensive expertise and a passion for automotive technology to deliver convenient, high-quality vehicle repairs directly to his customers.

Will graduated from the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) with a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Distribution. Driven by his calling for auto mechanics, he enrolled in the apprentice program at Lexus of Birmingham in November 2018. His dedication and skill led to completing the Lexus Certified Technician program in Atlanta, GA, and earning a promotion to full-time Certified Lexus Technician in just eight months.

In December 2021, Will took a significant step toward his entrepreneurial vision by purchasing World Class Auto Repair in Avondale, which he rebranded as Mackin's Garage in 2023. Under his leadership, the shop thrived, and he successfully sold it in January 2025 to pursue a new venture. Recognizing a significant gap in the market for hassle-free automotive service, Will founded GO AUTO to address the inconvenience of traditional repair shops. Many customers struggle with dropping off vehicles, waiting in repair queues, and arranging alternative transportation. GO AUTO solves this by bringing expert automotive maintenance directly to the customer’s home or workplace. For simple repairs, Will provides on-site service, ensuring quality and convenience. For more extensive repairs, he offers expert consultation, including repair recommendations, estimated costs, and trusted shop referrals to ensure fair pricing.
